Using the HCA Web Component with the Apple iPad
The HCA Web Component can be used to access your HCA design from a browser. Depending upon the platform the view rendered in the browser is optimized for either a mobile platform or a larger display.

When using the iPad there are two choices. You can configure the Web Component to use the mobile display or you can use the larger display format.
There is a problem with using the larger display format. The Web Component uses Frames to render its pages and the iPad doesn’t support this. This makes it difficult to use. The symptom seen is that it is impossible to scroll down the left pane to access folders and options past the end of the display.
At this time there is no complete fix for this. There is a work-around in the HCA 10 web component.
The work-around is to specify the viewport size as a parameter on the URL in the address supplied to the browser. The format is:
http://address-or-port-number/?viewport=2200
The value supplied to the Viewport parameter is a number between 10 and 10000.
The /?viewport=xxx sets the size of the display which allows scrolling to access the full range of the left pane. You shouldn’t set the number too large or the items displayed will have excessive space between them. If you use a value too small and you will not be able to scroll to see all the left pane information. You should “tune" it for your design.
This clearly is not a great solution and we are aware of that. But it is the only work-around available at this time.
