HCA 8.2 Point version changes 1. Insteon duplicate message elimination. With so many repeaters in an Insteon Network, HCA often receives many duplicate messages. HCA now attempts to eliminate processing of duplicate messages. The time interval where duplicate messages are eliminated can be set on the HCA properties dialog Advanced tab. 2. Support has been added for the UPB Keypad Load Dimmer. 3. An obscure problem with starting automation interfaces after using the Quick Start Wizard was resolved. 4. Changes to program triggering for Insteon messages. Insteon keypads transmit a broadcast message when a button is pressed. They then follow that message with messages directly to each linked device or to HCA if it is linked. HCA will use the broadcast message to trigger programs if it has the linking table from the source to see if the broadcast message is intended for HCA. 5. Status can now be retrieved for the inputs on the Insteon EZIO device. 6. Insteon KeypadLincs now participate in startup status poll and Visual Programmer Poll element. A status request of an Insteon KeypadLinc returns the state of the keypad LEDs and not the state of the controlled load. The state of the load is assumed to be at 100% if the ON or A LED is on and 0% otherwise. 7. All externally referenced files (icons, DXF backgrounds, weather data files, etc) are now located by the path stored in the HCA file and if not found then looked for in same folder as contains the .HCA file. Previously this was done for some but not all externally referenced files 8. Text values for flags returned from automation interface HCA.Flags.Get limited to 8K in length 9. Design inspector now checking for access to all externally referenced files by the path stored in the .HCA file. 10. CM15 interface supported. See this note on the device driver. 11. Obscure problem with adding new icons to the Icon Gallery then using them immediately in the display pane has been resolved. 12. Crash problem with invalid expressions in Compute and Compute Test elements has been resolved. 13. HTML displays now do not need to have a template file. Change to Wizard and Properties dialog that tried to enforce having a template file. 14. Design Locate menu pick could, on some display themes, insufficiently highlight the located design pane element. Now better highlighting. 15. Insteon IRLinc now supported. See this note. 16: Insteon Motion Sensor semi-supported: See this note. 17. Insteon Network Capture Databases now doesn't read devices with duplicated addresses. For example, the EZIO channels. 18. Suspended schedule entries are now no longer downloaded to the 1132CU controller 19. Icon Gallery new Edit button to allow changing bitmap files paths. 20. After reading Insteon linking database with version zero, now sets it to version 1. Previously done in some places where the database was read, but not all. 21. Insteon Network Capture dialog added "Select All" and "Deselect all" buttons. 22. Insteon Network Capture dialog columns can now be sorted. 23. Insteon network Clear dialog now has a "Deselect all" button. If you are a Version 8 user, please use the self service upgrade page to download the point upgrade |
